What affects the price up here
- The driveway and access. Up here this is the big one. A long, steep or curved drive, a canopy a pantech cannot clear, or a block where we shuttle the load to the door all shape the crew and time we quote, at both ends of the move.
- Crew and trucks. More movers and a second truck cost more per hour but finish sooner. For a large estate move that often works out cheaper overall.
- How long it takes. Billing runs from arrival to finish, so anything that slows the day (a long carry, stairs to a verandah, a gravel drive) adds time.
- Distance. A local Upper North Shore move is mostly load and unload time; a longer or interstate run adds travel.
- Packing. We can pack and unpack a home of antiques and a long-held collection, or you can have everything boxed and ready to keep the hours down.

How much does a removalist cost in the Upper North Shore?
Our online-quote rates start at $200/hour for two movers and a truck, $250/hour for three, and $400/hour for a four-mover, two-truck crew. Moves are billed by the hour from arrival to finish, and you get a clear estimate up front based on your specific move and access.
How is the price calculated?
It is the hourly rate for your crew size multiplied by the time the move takes, plus any travel for longer runs. The size of your home sets the crew; the access at both ends, the driveway, the carry distance, the canopy, sets the time. We quote the estimate before you book so there are no surprises.
Does a long or steep driveway cost more?
Not as a surcharge. A long carry, a steep drive or a shuttle from a truck parked up near the street simply takes more time, and the hourly billing reflects that. We work the access out before move day and factor it into the estimate, so the quote already accounts for your driveway rather than the clock running on a surprise.
Is there a minimum charge or a call-out fee?
We will confirm any minimum on your quote rather than springing fees on the day. Honesty up front is the point. Tell us about your move and the quote spells out exactly what is included.
How can I get a cheaper move?
Get your quote online for our online rate (lower than our standard rate), move mid-week or mid-month if you can, have everything packed and ready before the crew arrives, and clear the access (cars off the drive, gates unlocked, low branches noted). Every minute saved is money saved on an hourly move.
Will the final price match the quote?
The quote is an accurate estimate based on what you tell us, and the hourly billing reflects the actual time on the day. If something changes the job (more to move than expected, access we were not told about), we will flag it rather than quietly run the clock.
